The gear is a necessary part in the laser chuck. The manufacturing cost of helical gears used in precision transmission is indeed much higher than spur gears. Gear strength has two aspects, one is tooth root strength, the other is tooth surface strength. Compared with spur gears, helical gears have higher root strength but lower tooth surface strength.
